European School, (19th C.), oil on panel depicting a pleasant interior scene showing three older women and a young woman sewing, with what appears to be a male suitor behind the young woman, 4" x 5 ¾", unsigned, framed in an of the period oak coved frame, frame size 7 ¾" x 9 ¼".

Very nice overall having been recently cleaned and revarnished.

Toyokuni Kunisada (Japanese, 19th C.), a very nice colored woodblock print depicting half-length portrait of a woman reading with a sleeping cat and a marine landscape with fisherman in background, 14" x 9 1/2" sight, framed. ($300-500)

Kuniyoshi (Japanese, 19th C.), colored woodblock print depicting two figures in large hats each holding a pipe, with a river landscape with figures in boats in the background, 13 7/8" x 9 1/4" sight, framed.

Montague Dawson, (British, 1895-1973), color lithograph, titled in the lower margin "The Smoke of Battle" "The Gallant Speedy", depicting a naval battle with cannons blazing, 23 7/8" x 29 7/8" plate, signed in pencil in the margin lower right, blind stamps in the margin lower left, marked in the top margin "Published in 1972 by Venture Prints Limited of Bristol, England", in what appears to be its original museum mat and frame with rope twist highlights, frame size 35 ½" x 40 ¼".

Condition:
Very minor waviness to paper throughout, otherwise in very nice
condition.

Montague Dawson, (British, 1895-1973), color lithograph, titled in the lower Margin "Up Channel-The Lahloo", depicting The Lahloo on rough seas with a second sail ship and the shoreline in the distance, 20" x 29 7/8" plate, signed in pencil in the margin lower right, blind stamps in the margin lower left, marked in the top margin "Published in 1968 by Frost & Reed Limited of Bristol and London, England.", in what appears to be the original museum mat and gilt moulded frame, frame size 30 ¾" x 39 ¾".

Condition:
Very minor waviness to paper throughout, otherwise in very nice condition.

Additional Information:
"The Lahloo" was built in 1867 by Robert Steele & Company. "The Lahloo" made her maiden voyage on the 24th of July. Under her Captain John Smith, she took part in many of the great races between tea clippers on the exciting run from China to England. "The Lahloo" was 191 feet in length with a registered tonnage of 779 tons and was particularly fast in light breezes. She made the fastest time of any clipper in 1869 by completing the return voyage
from China in 97 days.

English School, (19th C.), a delightful oil on panel depicting a bust portrait of a rosy cheeked lady wearing a frilly bonnet and curls, in a green dress with large white collar, 8 3/8" x 6 13/16", unsigned, in a decorative frame of the period, frame size 12" x 11 1/8".

Condition:
Very minor craquelure principally in the upper left hand corner; under fluorescence there are minor areas of in painting along the outside edge of the collar area and along the left outside edge of the bonnet.
