Daniel Buck Auctions specializes in 18th- and 19th-century Americana, Shaker, and 19th- and 20th-century paintings. Since 1999 you may have seen Daniel as an independent appraiser on the PBS television show Antiques Roadshow where he has done a number of on air valuations.

Appraisals

There are many reasons for needing a written formal appraisal including for Insurance, Estate, Estate Planning, Charitable Contributions and Valuation purposes.
We provide appraisals for individuals, banks, attorneys, estate executors, institutions and museums requiring a valuation of personal property objects. Every Daniel Buck appraisal will be the most complete appraisal available, completing all due diligence and following the United Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices as required by all major appraisal institutes.

Valuations

Daniel Buck Auctions also offers its clients a Professional Opinion of Value. This is a verbal estimate of value, usually stated as a range, that is not based on research and is not stated in writing. It is for informational use only and cannot be used in place of a formal written appraisal for tax or legal purposes. This is to assist our clients in determining if their items should be placed on a written appraisal.
